Calgary Heritage was established after the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistricting undertaken by Elections Canada. According to Elections Canada, Calgary Heritage covers 70 km2 and has a population of 108,320.
Calgary Heritage sits adjacent to the federal ridings of Calgary Midnapore, Foothills, and Calgary Center, and contains the provincial ridings of Calgary Lougheed, Calgary Glenmore, and some portions of Calgary-Shaw, Calgary Fish-Creek, and Calgary-Acadia.
